The real difference: how long it lasts
Each tier carries a different rated protection period:
- Ultra - 2 years
- Supreme - 5 years
- Ultimate+ - 10 years, the flagship
That's the actual ladder. Everything else, the hardness rating, the gloss, the price, follows from that core number. A coating rated to protect for longer needs a denser, more resilient formula to back that claim up, which is why Ultimate+ costs more than Ultra: you're not paying for a fancier label, you're paying for a formula built to hold up for five times as long.
Ultra: the entry point
Ultra gets you real 9H ceramic hardness from day one. It's not a "starter" coating in the sense of being watered down, it's the same category of protection, rated for a shorter window. This is the right choice if you're testing ceramic coating for the first time, plan to sell or change the car within a couple of years, or simply don't need a decade-long commitment on this particular vehicle.
Supreme: the middle ground
Supreme sits deliberately between the other two. Same 9H hardness as Ultra, but a thicker layer and deeper gloss, rated to protect for 5 years instead of 2. If Ultra feels too short-term for your plans but Ultimate+ feels like more than you need right now, Supreme is built for exactly that gap. It's the tier most owners land on when they're keeping the car for a few years but not committing to a decade.
Ultimate+: the flagship
Ultimate+ is the one built for owners who intend to keep their car long-term. It steps up to 9H+ hardness with a Hyper Formula base, giving it stronger chemical resistance than the rest of the range, and it's rated for a full 10 years. It's also the only tier that requires an Elite-certified installer to apply, Halo Collective holds that certification for Singapore and Malaysia, which is part of why the coating can carry that length of warranty in the first place. The formula is only as good as the hands applying it.
A quick way to decide
If you're not sure which tier fits, ask yourself one question: how long do you realistically expect to own this car?
- Under 2 years, or you're not sure yet: Ultra
- 3 to 5 years: Supreme
- 5+ years, or this is the car you're keeping: Ultimate+
It's a simpler decision than the marketing around ceramic coating usually makes it sound.
What's included either way
Every full-surface package, regardless of tier, covers more than just paint. Glass, wheels and calipers, and interior leather and fabric are all included, using Wax Is Dead's dedicated coatings for each surface. Most detailers treat one surface and call it done.
